By 2050, there will be more plastic than fish in the oceans! Hard to believe, right?
Every year up to 13 million tons of plastic end up in the oceans.
As a result, 135,000 marine mammals and one million seabirds lose their lives.
Therefore, we want to give you a few tips for avoiding plastic waste in your everyday life:
- Replace unnecessary disposable plastic. Buy products that are preferably not packed in plastic or at least look at packaging made of reusable plastic and dispose it correctly.
- Use reusable shopping bags that can be folded. They fit in every bag, look nice and you don’t advertise a special supermarket.
- In the ice cream shop, don’t have your ice cream in a cup but in a cone.
- Reusable bottles or soda machines are a good alternative to drinks in plastic bottles. You save yourself a lot of lugging 😉
With a few small changes in everyday life, each of us can contribute to plastic reduction!
